From a heart that's yielding
When I think about the Heavens, the moon and all the stars, I wonder what You ever saw in me.
I often think of life in its plainest form with everything stripped away. Where would I stand in front of the Lord's presence. Would I still be beaming in spiritual joy, would I be beating my chest in agony, would I be hanging my head in shame, or would I oblivious to all which has transpired.
One day when I stand in front of my Lord, I will go on my knees. I will be overwhelmed by His awe and power that I will sing praises to His name. I will call Him Father and ask of Him to forgive all my iniquities. I will tell Him that I need Him above all else and I only want to be in His presence. And finally, I will thank Him for all that He has done for me and all His people. I will thank Him for His greatest love, mercy, faithfulness, righteousness and sovereignty. Because of Him, I am made blameless. And because of Him, I am only above and not beneath. And just because of Him, I can be joyous all the days of my life till through eternity.
The prophets in the Bible knew clearly that life on earth is but short and transient. Paul warned about it, Solomon has seen through it, even the intellectual who wrote Ecclesiastes exclaimed all is vanity. Genesis 3:19 "For dust you are, and to dust you shall return".
Be conscious of what you do with your life, but do not be consumed by life. Run your race of life wherever it brings you to, but run it well. Set your eyes on the things not of the earth, for they will all fade away. Fix your eyes on the cross, and bear it for His name.
But you took me and You love me, and You've given me a crown. And now I'll praise Your name eternally.
